Here are some great Valentine’s Day hotel packages if you’re looking for a little indulgence this year.
QT Hotels & Resorts – the leading designer hotel collection in Australia and New Zealand – will celebrate Valentine’s Day with its “Room for Dessert” campaign, a dessert served with a side of pillow-talk. From February 12-18, 2018, diners at QT’s signature restaurants can order a bespoke sweet with a twist: a room key. With a simple order off the menu, diners will automatically check into a room for the night, complete with a half bottle of Mumm NV Champagne waiting on ice.
Participating hotels and resorts, including the collection’s flagship property, QT Sydney, as well as QT Melbourne, QT Canberra and QT Gold Coast, will each offer their own unique dessert twists, such as:
QT Gold Coast: Designed by Yamagen’s Executive Chef Adam Lane, the Valentine’s Smashed Chocolate Delight is a chocolate egg shell filled with miso caramel ice cream, frozen Nutella mousse, chocolate crumble, miso caramel ‘yonuts’ (fried sweet donuts), ume Japanese plum, rose candy floss and a black sesame waffle cone – all smashed to bits on the dessert plate. QT Melbourne Designed by Pascale Bar & Grill Executive Chef Andy Harmer, The White Chocolate & Raspberry Gift consists of vanilla white chocolate mousse, raspberry jam and caramel-coated candy atop a toasted feuilletine base. The dessert is served with a raspberry white chocolate glaze and encased in an edible white chocolate box.
QT Canberra: This Valentine’s Day, Capital Bar & Grill’s Executive Chef Michael Box has created the Blind Date – a caramel and sesame mousse cake on a rich hazelnut and date sponge, coated in gold and dark chocolate ganache and served with a single red rose, rose petals, pistachio and caramel truffles.
QT Sydney: Designed by guest chef Jean-Paul Lourdes, Gowings Bar & Grill will be serving the Love Bomb, a raspberry, rose and lychee bombe Alaska. At the center of this rose parfait is a frozen raspberry crème and lychee compote, finished in a torched Italian meringue.
The “Room for Dessert” campaign is valid from February 12-18, 2018 and starts from AUD$299 (US$241). The campaign has limited availability; customers must purchase the dessert on the night of dining to be eligible.
