Provence has been on my “to do” list for quite some time now. Italy is my comfort place so when I’m needing a European vacation fix, I usually end up Umbria or Tuscany. But I’ve promised myself that France, specifically Provence, should be next on my list of regions to explore.
Hotel Crillon le Brave in Provence
I first discovered the Hotel Crillon le Brave in an article in Luxury Travel Magazine about the top hotel cooking schools. Whenever I travel anywhere new, I want the full experience – the food, the culture, the people, the sights, the shopping. So finding properties that offer opportunities to experience all of these elements, is always key for me. Crillon le Brave is a small hill village located about 25 miles northeast of Avignon in the heart of Provence.
Truffle and Wine Weekends
This package at the Hotel Crillon le Brave may just be the one that lands me in Provence sooner rather than later. Their Autumn Truffle and Wine Weekends (I mean, come on, they’ve got wine and truffle in the same headline), sound like the perfect fit for what I like to do on vacation – truffle hunting, rustic lunch, wine tastings, and a cooking demonstration. I’m not sure I could personally design a more perfect weekend, unless you slip a spa treatment in there somewhere.
