The Kennebunkport Resort Collection Introduces Creative Culinary Offerings to Showcase the Best of Maine this Summer and Fall
Boozy Milkshakes, Summer Shuckers Club , First-Ever Brunch, Late Night Menus and More
Kennebunkport, Maine is quickly becoming a destination for food lovers — and not just those searching for the sweetest Maine lobster. Highlighting native and seasonal favorites such as lobster rolls, fresh shucked oysters and seared scallops, as well as signature twists on sweet and savory Maine classics, the Kennebunkport Resort Collection’s six restaurants continue to impress foodies from the Northeast and beyond. This summer, each restaurant introduces fresh concepts and new dining experiences the area has never seen before.
“Kennebunkport’s burgeoning culinary scene is heating up this summer, so much so that it will carry into the fall,” states Managing Director of Kennebunkport Resort Collection, Justin Grimes. “With a new Executive Chef at Ocean, one of the most upscale restaurants in town, and new menus across the board encompassing national trends like garden to cocktail and boozy milkshakes, Kennebunkport Resort Collection’s restaurants have answered the call for experiential dining experiences that both locals and travelers can enjoy.”

The Boathouse – Exclusive Summer Shuckers Club and New Late Night Eats
The Boathouse is calling all oyster fanatics who want exclusive access to the best oysters in town. Dine at the waterfront raw bar and catch a glimpse of local oyster farmers come and go, all while indulging in the delicious bivalves. With The Boathouse’s new ‘Summer Shuckers Club,’ members can taste specialty oysters for just $1 every Monday, and receive exclusive access and advanced ticket purchase pricing to private oyster events, tastings and excursions. The membership is $60 and available June 1 – September 30.
As one of the chosen hotspots for a nightcap in town, The Boathouse has also launched a late night menu featuring local favorites like Pearl hot dogs with a twist like the Bánh Mì Dog served with Cucumber, pickled carrots, cilantro and spicy mayo as well as “Your Girlfriend’s Not Hungry” which includes chicken tenders, mozzarella sticks and a handful of fries. The late night menu is served from 9 – 10 pm daily either in the bar or packaged for delivery to your hotel room for guests.
The Burleigh – Taking Brunch to the next level in Kennebunkport
Steps away from the heart of Dock Square and the social center of The Kennebunkport Inn, The Burleigh, brings a fresh new brunch experience to the coastal town for diners to enjoy al fresco. The quintessential New England style brunch is complemented by all new patio dining tables and lounge style decor, featuring preppy patterns, stripes and bright florals in a garden like setting. In addition, the last Sunday of every month, The Burleigh will host Sunday Funday with a DJ and drink specials to add even more fun to the lively brunch atmosphere.
The new menu, designed by Executive Chef Eric Murdough, includes Chicken and Waffles served with Maine Maple Syrup, Maine Lobster Benedict, Maine Blueberry Pancakes, and MapleBrook Farm Burrata, on local Sourdough Toast. In addition to brunch fare, imbibe in signature brunch cocktails such as lemonade and strawberry rose sangrias, Maine blueberry bellinis, mimosas, bloody marys and more.
The Dory – An Epic New Milkshake Menu to Indulge in Poolside
With menu items for all ages, hotel guests and the public alike can snack on poolside munchies and sip old fashioned milkshakes or boozy beverages while soaking up the sun at The Dory restaurant, a retro-cool summer haven.
This season, The Dory also introduced a brand new epic new milkshake menu including the “Oreo Storm” with loads of America’s favorite cookies, chocolate syrup and vanilla ice cream, and “S’more Galore” piled high with graham crackers, marshmallows, vanilla ice cream and a full size chocolate bar. Adults 21 and over can choose to increase the excitement with boozy milkshakes for just $5 more.
Earth – Introducing Wood Fired Wednesdays and Herb to Cocktail Classes
Simple yet innovative, Earth creates “farm-to-fork” freshness with local meats, seafood and ingredients sourced from one of two on-site organic gardens — picked daily and incorporated into each dish. Lunch is served daily at the Poolside Farm Bar from 11:30 – 2 pm and new this summer, check out Wood Fired Wednesdays, a pre-set lunch menu served alongside a la carte offerings with highlights including Grilled Feta with watermelon, mint and chili, Grilled Tuna with a panzanella salad and garden herbs and Barbacoa Pork Tacos with grilled pineapple, serrano relish and cotija cheese.
Wednesday nights also feature live music by the Scharf Brothers where guests and locals alike can enjoy music, food and cocktails at the Farm Bar poolside under the stars. New summer menus for both dinner and dessert include selections like Halibut Sashimi with passionfruit, coconut, serrano chili and ginger, Maine Lobster Risotto served with scallops, mussels and clams, and fresh Maine Blueberry Crostata with vanilla creme fraiche.
Also at Earth this summer, become a botanical bartender at one of their Mixology classes where the educated bar and garden team will teach you how to make cocktails infused with herbs, flowers and fresh Maine produce, all while utilizing ingredients right from the on-site gardens. The next mixology class is scheduled for August 22nd at 1pm; is $25 per person and includes one cocktail and a cocktail kit.
Ocean – New Executive Chef Brings Fresh Oceanfront Offerings
The most upscale restaurant in the Kennebunkport Resort Collection, Ocean, introduces a new executive chef and menu this summer season. Executive Chef Justin Owen is a graduate of New England Culinary Institute, and has been influenced by many great chefs which he’s crossed paths with or worked alongside, including Pierre Gignac and Chris Pasternak. Moving up the ranks at Ocean, Chef Owen, initially brought on board in 2013, advanced to Sous Chef, and now Executive Chef.
Showcasing not only locally caught seafood in signature dishes like Lobster Thermidor, but also the best of what is grown, raised and produced in Maine, Owen weaves in flavors of southern France and the Mediterranean to provide guests’ tastebuds with intriguing new twists. New menu highlights include Beet “Carpaccio” with salt roasted red beets, confit yellow beets, pistachio, goat cheese beignet, and spring onion foam, Monk Fish with squid ink fettuccine, mussels, Parisian vegetables and seafood butter and Beef Steak with red wine braised oxtail, asparagus, potatoes and red wine jus.
Tides Beach Club – Sunsets and Socializing on the Seaside
Just steps away from Goose Rocks Beach, the oceanfront The Tides Beach Club enjoys a vibrant social scene served up in a coastal chic atmosphere. This summer catch happy hour weekdays from 3 – 5 pm and 3 – 6 pm on Sundays. Want to savor every last minute of your weekend? Stay for Sunday Funday and enjoy live music on the ocean-front porch from 4-6pm,. Happy hour menu highlights include craft concoctions like the refreshing Magri Cooler with blueberry infused vodka, elderflower, lemon and club soda, the Sailor’s Paradise, Summer Daze and Watermelon Cosmo. Plus beer, wine and small plate specials starting at $3 each.
